Josel leads website design, user experience strategy, and front-end development initiatives. With over 16 years in the field, he has built a career at the intersection of visual design and technical execution, guiding projects from early concept through final implementation.
His experience spans branding systems, interactive campaigns, digital platforms, and custom website development. Early roles in broadcast and interactive design shaped his foundation in visual communication, while years of hands-on development refined his ability to build clean, intuitive frontend systems. This dual focus enables him to see both the creative and technical implications of every decision.
Alongside his agency work, Josel has maintained an independent design and development practice, collaborating with Los Angeles-based studios and production teams. That experience strengthened his ability to manage projects end to end, align with stakeholder expectations, and deliver reliable results under real-world constraints.
At STAUFFER, Josel focuses on execution without losing sight of user experience. He believes strong digital work requires structure, clarity, and attention to detail. By bridging design and development, he helps teams create cohesive systems that perform consistently across platforms.
Originally from Puerto Rico and a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, Josel draws inspiration from the creative energy of Southern California. Outside of work, he explores emerging design trends, experiments with video game concepts, and plays bass guitar, bringing the same curiosity and craftsmanship to his personal pursuits as he does to his professional work.
