My new IDE
I am one that really likes a good IDE. It makes life so much easier. Do not get me wrong when needing to go commando I can VI/VIM just fine. I have been programming PHP, HTML, Php, css, pHp, javascript, and PhP for a while now. And with that it is a matter of which IDE I use???? I am a Linux user and most recently have had my arm twisted into computing on Fruit(Apple). So I felt like the only IDE worth using was Eclipse PDT.

I am a Linux user and most recently have had my arm twisted into computing on Fruit(Apple). So I felt like the only IDE worth using was Eclipse PDT. So for over a year now I have been using Eclipse PDT and I guess it was fine, I got the job done and sighed in hope for something new that I just never really knew about.
Well that brings me to two days ago. I was at the drupal LA user group meeting...the last Tuesday of the month every month LA Drupal. This week a rep from SUN was talking about using SUN products with Drupal. That is where I was introduced to ***Netbeans***. Now I knew Netbeans existed, but I had always used it for Java and thought Java was all it did. I never knew it did PHP. According to the rep it has plugins for drupal to make my drupalling a lot easier. I still have not ventured that far, but as far as two days go I am thinking me and Netbeans will be together for a while. So with that said what are you waiting for go download... it does syntax highlighting and real-time syntax error checking. I know EclipsePDT does that too, but it just seems seamless with Netbeans...almost prettier. Not to mention the cool stuff that is just there for Netbeans.
So I have wasted enough time talking about it. Go see for yourself if you wish or don't and wait for the "SIGH...I wish there was something else..." to come out of your mouth. I am sure Netbeans will wait for you.
